Overview

URETEK provides non-invasive trench breaker solutions for utility pipeline installations, using structural polymer injection to create engineered barriers that prevent water migration, erosion, and bedding washout in utility corridors. Our trenchless approach delivers precise, durable support with minimal surface disruption—ideal for challenging terrains, remote locations, and active rights-of-way.

Why Trench Breakers Matter

When utilities are installed on sloped terrain or in variable soils, water can migrate along bedding material, creating subsurface erosion, voids, or slope instability. Traditional cement-based trench plugs are labor-intensive, moisture-sensitive, and difficult to install in tight spaces. URETEK’s polymer trench breakers eliminate these issues through rapid-curing, lightweight, and long-lasting structural fills.

Key Benefits

Trenchless Installation: No excavation required—ideal for post-install trench support or remote access locations.

High Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Our polymer plugs bond to pipe and surrounding soil without adding excessive load.

Rapid Cure Time: Supports ready-to-backfill in minutes, not hours or days.

Water Resistant: Prevents infiltration and channeling of stormwater or groundwater along trench lines.

Customizable Shape & Size: Engineered to fit irregular trench geometries and embedment conditions.

URETEK Method

Our Deep Injection process allows polymer material to be introduced through small-diameter rods inserted into the bedding zone adjacent to or beneath utility lines. The expanding polymer fills voids and creates a robust plug that resists water flow while bonding to soil and pipe surfaces.

Common Applications Include

Electrical and telecommunication ducts.

Water and sewer main installations.

Gas pipelines.

Industrial facility utilities.

Renewable energy conduit runs (solar, wind, battery installations).
